Tideswell Food Festival

This year’s Food Festival on 5th May 2012 is beginning to take shape. There will be stalls offering artisan food and drink throughout the village and we shall involve as many of the local shops and pubs as we can.

There will be family entertainment attractions and already confirmed are Morris dancing demonstrations by the acclaimed Briggate and Garters dance troops.

The children of Tideswell’s Bishop Pursglove School will give demonstrations Maypole dancing to both traditional and contemporary music.

The Tideswell School of Food will be running cooking demonstrations throughout the day and John Hattersley from the Wine Warehouse in Bakewell will be running a session on wine tasting, something that is bound to be popular.

We’ve already have had a number of stall holders booking their places and if you’re a producer or retailer, further detail and a registration form can be downloaded here….Trader Registration Form….  You can also  contact Philip Walker on philip.walker@live.co.uk.

There’s a great blog entry on the Steel City website about last year’s festival.  Read it here.
