On the evening of the 27th October, 26 people gathered in the upstairs room of The George to hear about the progress of the Taste Tideswell project and to sample some delicious examples of local food. I, for one, was amazed at the breadth of what is produced already .. hopefully we can build on this if we are successful with our Big Lottery fund bid … it’s all getting very exciting. About Taste Tideswell
Taste Tideswell is a community project which has secured grant funding from the BIG Lottery Fund. The £432k grant was awarded as part of their Village SOS scheme, in partnership with the BBC who will be following the project through the first year of operation.
We have already opened the Tideswell School of Food and are establishing the Tideswell Made quality mark. Over the coming months there will be opportunities to encourage food enterprise within Tideswell and district, so please do get in touch if you’d like to get involved!
